So the shop just called me and said that all of the damage was donde too the skin of the vehicle, and that the underlying UHSS and HSS steel looked to be in tact. That makes sense for the sail panel, but does anyone know if there is a skin over the door jamb, just under the sail panel? It doesn't seem le the would be a lot of room there, but the shop is saying that skin, plus the B pillar itself, is all a skin over the frame of the cab, and that the underlying structure is fine. They even said that the strike plate is mounted to the frame THROUGH the skin. This just doesn't right to me. I can go to a dealer to verify after work, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask here first.

Actually I had a similar issue 2 years ago (7 year old truck then) being T-boned. Took out both doors, both fenders, broke axle, crushed rear rim, and ruined a tire. They didn't total it. The axle was found after putting everything together and I was told that if they'd know about that in the beginning it might be have been totaled. $17K damage.

One suggest: if it's not too late, call your local exotic foreign car dealership (like those over $200K) and ask where they get repair work done. You have the right to use whatever shop you want. I would pick them. I did and my repair is perfect.

No idea what a sail panel is...
The video in the link leads me to believe the B-pillar is skinned.
I'd probably want a look at it all with skins removed.

After they took the doors off they sent me a few pictures. It looks like the only damage to the B pillar is a dent right in the blue section, which is 440 MPa and sectionable according to the sites linked previously, unless the rocker itself is structural. My other concern was a small link in the door jamb that I'm still waiting to get a picture of. Here's the photos ther shop sent me so far. Also, they quoted it at only $6,749.01, so nowhere near totaled, unless the aforementioned kink is a problem. Here's a couple of pictures they sent, for those following along...

The outer rocker/center “b” pillars are mild steel and sectionable. once it’s removed, there could be supplemental damage to the inner rocker, which would need to be replaced.
    Still not a total.
