Ford....I just threw up in my mouth. I avoid ford and chrysler like the plague. Squeak leaky pieces of shits within 7 years

But I bet your doors never unlocked an opened up at 60 MPH, which is what my 2001 Ferd Windsturrr did right before I threatened to shove it up the service manager's ass regarding their "warranty." Last American brand vehicle I ever had - Toyotas ever since.

 

My buddy had a 60,000 mile warranty on his f-150. At 40k miles the tranny was acting up. He brought it in, and they "fixed" it. At 62k miles the tranny completely took a shit, and they refused to do ANYTHING for him.

I will never buy a Ford just because of that. 2k miles over the warranty they could have at least given him the part for free and made him pay for labor. Fuck Ford.

Etc or not, same outcome. At 75+ it gets stuck on 4th at 3500. Slow it down to 70mph it gears hunts from 4-6 like an acordeon on meth.

Slap that bitch in S5 and stay at 70, and it's smooth sailing at 2300rpms.

Anything above 75 it struggles to hold its own weight and shifts back into 4th.

It's been like that since I drove it off the lot.

Yeah. Toyota finally did something about all that busyness with the tranny for the '19s. From what I hear they revamped the powertrain's management system.

 

I flushed and bled the brakes on my daughter's Yaris about a month ago. Dropped the master cylinder strainer down in the engine bay. I removed the battery and most of the intake. Still couldn't get it!


Finally stepped in the house and asked the wife to use those skinny hands and long fingers. She had it out in 3 seconds.

But yes.....engine's eat 10mm sockets for snacks.
