Better than what I get lol. Mostly it's truckers talking about whores

 

Never have picked up anything interesting here. I'm in the middle of the Bay Area so I'm not expecting much trucker chatter since all the long haulers are on I-5 or I-80.

That weird conversation of the guy talking to himself is in fact the only clear conversation I have ever picked up. Everything else was jumbled conversations or indecipherable sounds.

Back when I first installed my CB I used to pick up truckers having funny conversations. Now a days all I get are spanish speakers. I have a quick disconnect, I don't bother keeping my antenna mounted anymore. I just pop it on when I need it.

I like to keep mine on for the #mallcrawler stance, but now that I started parking in San Francisco I can't. At my apartment underground garage I scrape the blackwater and electric pipes on the ceiling, and one time I tried parking in a structure downtown and set off the overheight alarm.

In most downtown parking structures I'm only a few inches from hitting the ceiling.

 

Oh yeah, around here my antenna won't clear parking structures or even in some fast food drive throughs. It's not often that I go through them but that's the main reason why I run the quick disconnect. I prefer not to have it mounted all the time.

I have a Cobra 75WXST so it disconnects too. I keep it in a soft zippered gun pouch under my seat & the antenna behind the rear seats.

 

I need to get a ham radio. And yes Tyler I know I needed to build a tower so you can put a repeater on it. Lol
