Just a gen2 TRD shift knob so far. Anxiously awaiting ovTune 1.05 with handheld tuner!
    Good news, friends!
I went to Canadian Tire next morning with two plans:

To direct power back to the battery by way of the 7 pin trailer connector OR boost by way of the hot wire on the starter motor.

So I picked up some skinny clamps for the starter, a 7 pin male connector for the trailer plug and heavy gauge wire for both.

I decided to go this route as the day before I tried heating the key with a torch, and popping the hood with a long rod through the grille. All while frosting in -35c.

So I get back to the house, lay everything out, planning first on assembling a rig for the 7 pin. Before I unbag everything, as a suggestion by someone here, I double check the door lock by peering through the passenger window. In the dark cab there looks to be an "unlocked" position. So I go to the driver's door once again to try and boom! The door opens!

I boost it with my wife's Sorento, run it for about 3hrs, and trip back to Canadian Tire to return the unnecessary goods! Lol.
Thanks for the help and interest ever'body!

    Glad it all worked out!

Honda has an excellent weatherstripping/trim/plastic window guide silicon grease called "Shin-Etsu".
Maintains rubber surfaces & helps prevent weatherstipping freeze-up.

You might want to start carrying some windshield washer fluid to pour on the door in case it freezes shut again.

Thats funny, I just saw this, I work for Shin Etsu. In the silicon wafer division. The grease is made at the Shin Etsu chemical division.

This is why I love deicer spray. Could’ve sprayed it in lock, then along the door edge. I’ve had to do that a few times.

Unfortunately, the key switch on these trucks *CANNOT* mechanically unlock the door. The key switch is just an electrical switch, which sends a signal to the ECU, which activates the electric door lock.

A good heavy coat of silicone lubricant applied to the weather-stripping, door locking mechanisms, etc will help to mitigate the problem in future.

For future use, maybe a 12v solar battery tender if your truck is going to be sitting for months unused?

Sounds to me like you are saying when you put the key in the door and turn it that it doesn’t mechanically turn and unlock the door. If so, how’s it unlock with no power?
