Took advantage of the sun being out for a bit and painted the trailer. Got both sides done. Ran out of paint and sun so wasnt able to do the roof yet. The dents definitely show more with the black paint but it's a camp trailer. It will be fine lol. Rear and sides ~90% complete. Got decent coverage with the 3 cans I had. Figure about 6 more cans needed. 1 more per side and rear. And then 3 for roof

Hahaha going to be closed off with plywood. Door on both sides. Shelf in middle that can be accessed from inside and out. Lower storage accessible from outside through doors

Worked on the front storage area of the camp trailer build last night. Got the front wall, shelf and door panels cut and mounted up. Still need to seal up joints and small gaps, paint, install door handles/locks, foam weather seals for doors and run wiring for the interior storage lighting.

Started putting the seal coat down. Interior will be white to help with making it brighter. Exterior will be black to match rest of trailer and truck

Really rethink the black. In the summer your gonna bake. At least do the roof white and run tarps off the sides. The reason most campers are white or tan is they're giant heatsinks.

Looks alot better than I thought it was going to turn out. Still looks like a pickup bed with a campershell. Some nice siding would cheaply go a long way. Or find a way to embrace the fact that its a battleborn intense offroad camper with some cool bumpers/ crash guards/ jerry can holders, spare tire holders etc. You should have turned the little storage area into a cool outdoor shower.

Yeah lol. The original plan for the front was to box it off and then put a removable camp toilet in there but since I have one of those pop up shower tent things we are going to use that for the whole shower or dedication thing lol. I agree on it looking better than I thought at first. Still got a ways to go but it's looking better. Definitely been keeping my eye out for some siding.preferably some of the same style that's on the rest of it

They are definitely not beautiful welds, but they have plenty of penetration and are plenty strong. Built it for camping and adventures, not SEMA (even though we have seen some of those welds looking like mine lol)

I'm not talking about how the weld beads look dude. You have about 10 inches of welding (a butt-weld at that) pulling 2000 lbs down the road at 75 mph. You need at least 16 nches of overlapping metal to metal contact on each side of the y for a trailer that size. Other than that it's cool as hell.

And we have light! For the top storage area. Still gotta do the lower. Using some magnetic USB rechargeable LED lights I got from home depot a while back
