All began because I didnt like 4x4runners avatar. Imagine what wrath would be brought upon us if it was one of the listings you posted Mark. I thought Big Brother was only the government not TW. So be it. Just look at all the fun Jim (riverrat_69) is missing out on.

    I'm going to the porch,getting a beer,and sitting down.

Is it possible we can move on!?

I'll start. So it's been warm here in NE Tenn this past week.Wife was gonna get the Mantis out and turn the dirt in the garden boxes over.We planted some kind of clover in the fall to enrich the soil.My son bought a 1000 earth worms to build them up more than what we already had in the boxes."We are way cool gardeners and totally cool with the organic's,man" Seeds have been started in our grow room (not weed:D )with lights on for 12-16 hours for planting outside l hope soon.Looking forward to some great veggies this season.
But then it rained hard one night here and now it's 27° this morning.Too wet and too cold.

May need a jacket and a hot toddy on the porch instead.

    Good morning to all!

17 deg F here this morning - watching 3 rabbits and a ton of birds eating the bird seed that falls on the ground from our feeder along the front sidewalk. Cold, breezy day here.

My thought of the day - who made the decision to reduce the width of toilet paper rolls by 3/4" and why were we not consulted? Now all of out toilet paper holders look over-sized.

Finally a post on something important!

Thank you Mark and a reminder to all: keep a roll in the boat, or your backpack when hunting or hiking.

    Morning all:
Same BS coming on here now that Got Jim banned, don't get suckered in!
Interesting that these emojis are on this site, it's only site I'm on that has them so they must be acceptable.
Lets see: :brianr: GET OFF MY LAWN :infantry: ! :luvya:

How's that Ken, bring back memories!

ANYWAY; getting the usual winter mess of branches in the yard, yesterday cut up and removed three garden carts of some big ones that came down. Took the last cart up back and got the garden tractor hung up on a small stump after I backed over it, had to cut the stump down to be able to get it out of there. :annoyed:

Good advice, I always have a supply with me. I did see a guy up in Maine who had big pieces cut out of the back of his shirt though, so having a knife and a shirt will work in a pinch! o_O

Good morning to all you old farts. In case anyone cares, it’s still winter in Michigan. I don’t like winter anymore, Mother Nature does not care.

Four inches of snow here in Kalifornia, dry stuff so easily moved before coffee. Much more expected, so we'll see.

 Hummm, want a partner Mike! I can see it now, don't take the chance of getting shot while hunting when using white TP, use our Fluorescent Orange TP and be safe!
And for archery hunters we could also offer a camo version!

We had a few days of letting the wood stove simmer very lightly. The embers were enough to make it too hot to sleep a few nights ago. I actually threw off the down comforter.
The pond in the yard had the frogs awake and squawking. Damn, they can be loud. I walk out, they dive. One night I walked out with a flashlight aimed at the pond. At least 10 sets of eyes flashing back at me. A pair were too busy to look. The rest were wondering what the heck the light was. I got within a few feet and could watch them. Really cool.

    Now, back to normal cold.
Wood stove going, the pond is quiet. Next we will find a huge batch of eggs in the pond that will freeze. A use for the 5 gallon bucket, throw them into the garden as fertilizer.

Winter. We need snow. Duane, can you send some, please?
