Right now just a placeholder for future build plans. New to TW, this is also my first Taco! ‘19 TRD OR 4x4 DCSB in Cement. So far the only mod is a set of GE H11 +130 bulbs for the little bit of extra light.

Plans right now for the truck:

    1. Get it in the dirt.
    2. Get it in the dirt some more.
    3. Learn the capes and lims of the platform, make cost effective and efficient modifications.
    4. Rinse and repeat steps 1-3.

Made my first real trip on a trail today. Met up with a coworker who bought a '15 4Runner TRD Pro. We did the Chariot Truck Trail southbound into Oriflamme Canyon in the Anza Borrego desert in SoCal. It was a good trail for the two of us who have basically zero experience off road. We both banged the underside a time or two, but nothing serious! He did the trail at street pressure in 4HI, I dropped my tires to 20psi about a third the way in and stayed in 4HI as well, never had any issues.

    Some takeaways from today:

    1. The Goodyear Wrangler AT's that come with the OR and up models aren't that bad, though I have no frame of reference for what excellent tires will do for you. I was never lacking traction at any point. Mix of a few mud holes, loose sand, damp packed dirt and plenty of rocks.
    2. Better front skids all the way to the transfer case and sliders are going to be a must if I intend to wheel regularly, which I do. I left a good mark on the tranny xmember and there were a few times sitting on an angle where I could have smacked my rockers real good if I had slide slipped.
    3. Wheeling is awesome, and these trucks are excellent for it! I will be back in the desert frequently this year.

    Pics for your pleasure
