Hi all, looking for some moderate trails for a stock Tacoma 4x4 close to Franklin. Any thoughts ? I see quite a few several hours away in Pisgah and Uhwarrie National forests but nothing in Nantahala National Forest which is right outside town. Looking for ATV trails too. Thanks, Ken

Look up Hurricane Creek off of I-40 in the gorge heading towards TN state line. Its easy to pass by as its right off I-40 with no signs between exit 15 and exit 7 at mile marker 8. Google "Hurricane Creek off road" to see discussions and youtube videos

A couple of members here might meet up and hit the trail as a group in this thread

Video of entire trail except the last 15 minutes or so

    How to get there

Exactly what I was looking for , Thank You WNC_TRD !! I need to get my wife on a few non-scary trails so she quits digging her finger nails into my arm. Hard to drive with my right arm in a sling !
