This might be a stupid question but would genuine toyota running boards fit both a tundra and tacoma? They are for sale on my local Kijiji and the guy claims they fit both.

I think the cast aluminum ones do. The boards have several unused mounting locations. Put the brackets on the truck then the boards on the brackets.
