I plan to just run pump gas for now. My car is untuned, but hoping I'm close to upper 300's right now. Once I finish breaking in the engine I can really start chasing my HP goals. New turbo, bigger injectors and better fuel pump are still on the shopping list.

Quick cold start from today. 2.5 rabid chimp exhaust. Magnaflow cat, straight pipe. eBay header that’s been wrapped. And a completely rebuilt 2jzge

Have you not seen any of the news? It's a BMW N54 3 Liter Inline 6 Turbo putting out 335hp to the Z4's 382hp. There will also be a Turbo 4 cylinder option, also a BMW engine. That one will output either 196hp or 255hp, no official word on what the US model will have. Car is just shy of 3,400lb. I've heard that the motor mounting points on the new chassis is supposed to make it easy to swap in a 2JZ. 8 speed auto, no manual trans option at this point.

Edit: Inline 6 is BMW B58. 4 cylinder is supposed to be the B48.

I think the new engine code is b58, with the built in exhaust manifold runners

In the past there has been rumors that Toyota wants 3 sports cars in it's lineup. So far we have the Toyobaru 86 and now the Z4upra. I'd really like to see what they could do with a new MR2. I wonder what company Toyota will get to make that one. Maybe a Lotus chassis and Toyota drivetrain?

Edit: I forgot that the Elise was using a Toyota 1ZZ/2ZZ engine already

I was reading somewhere that they may down the line add the manual option and the person was saying he won't be buying one until they do. I think that's how a lot of the potential customers will be. That's the main reason I didn't just wait to get one haha

Pretty sure that's how they created the Supra in the first place is through a Lotus deal, where Lotus designed everything and Toyota engineered all the "guts" since Lotus' suck so bad.

Also side note I saw this on the MK3 FS Facebook page and thought it was you, was horrified then found yours is in much better shape. He's also selling a 1J and a few extras for $2.5k

Seems like many people are complaining about it being Auto only. I 'd just hope that the sales aren't so low they discontinue it before even having the opportunity to give it a manual transmission. We always here about low sales numbers on the 86 and the fear that it may disappear sooner rather than later.

Concept designs of the MK4 Supra look like a mix of the MK4 and Lexus SC/Toyota Soarer
