I'm upgrading the speakers in my Taco. I replaced the rear door speakers with 6 3/4" Kickers. The OEM speakers have no weight to them. Further investigation shows that they don't seem to have a magnet; metal isn't attracted to them. So how do they work?
Typically, speakers work with an electro magnet opposing a permanent magnet to make sound.

I believe it is just a lightweight magnet, it's amazing they have as much sound as they do for how cheap they feel.
