Can't wait! I want cab and shell racks, as close to the roof as I can get them!

I, too already have a roof rack made by another member and it sits close to the roof. Would really like to have a matching shell rack and adjustable height is so clutch! Can't wait.

This is the end of the sidebar in 1:10, meaning we're close to getting a real prototype cut.

Allows for basket mode, regular mode with "hoops" up, flush mount with hoops up, and the added vertical front and/or rear crossbar when using standard mode.

The diamonds in the center are not 100% final yet but they hold a big surprise. And the blank area is for the logo, that we need to make readable upside down and from both sides of the truck (not an easy task to design)

I'm assuming "basket mode" means it can be mounted using the lower set of slots, making the rails sit up higher, like side walls? If so, that is EXACTLY what I've been wanting!

@destin_meeks that's exactly it. You can mount in the lower slots with hoops up - or for max height, you can flip the plates and mount your crossbars in the hoops too.

Here's a mockup with hoops up.

Nice! I want solar panels mounted up there but they stand up too high on most racks and people can see them. I like that I could sink them down below the side rails keeping them hidden

Received my short bed side plates and with a quick mock up, it'll look great mated to the Martin off road roof rack. Finish is off so i might just shoot it with bed liner to match. Anxiously waiting for your adjustable mounts. :spending:

I redesigned slightly the adjustable mounts V1 (we are working in parallel with 2 versions), printing tomorrow for a real prototype soon.

We were able to make them even more compact by using tubing instead of bent plate, removing the radius constraints. They are incredibly compact compared to anything else like my smilttybilt.

    I'm in for updates.

Was doing research for a rack and glad I came across this thread.

    Some updates

    - Square brackets do work, I need to widen a little to clear the screws holding the bottom and top together.
    - it's getting together nicely. I will buy real hardware as the 3D prints do not allow screwing together (nylon jam nuts cannot fit as when printed they are hard plastic)

More prints.. updated lower bracket that is also used for fairing (less different parts), now wider for more clearance and full ±90 degrees adjustment (to use in the bed rails if you need). 3/8 hardware w/ nylon lock washers

That's the fairing attachment when you don't have a full width vertical crossbar. This allows to use and adjust the fairing for angle and height for any setup.
It means you should be able to rest the bottom of the fairing on the truck with a seal and block wind noise as much as possible.

This looks awesome. I really like the modular design of the side rails. Do you have any assembled dimesions? I have a PrinsuDesign rack on my 07 DBCB and want to get something to match now on the canopy.

Any updates?? Anticipation is killing me! All joking aside, great work so far!

2 questions for those that may know:

What’s the bolt/thread size of the mounting holes on our roof?

Any 2nd & 3rd GEN owners know if the bolt hole locations on the two vehicles are the same? Will GEN 2 rack bolt onto a GEN 3 roof??
