I recently picked up my 2016 DCLB Tacoma TRD off road.

Thoughts on first mods? All ideas welcome.

I have some weather tech mats on the way.

    1. MX4 bakflip tonnue cover I have one it’s awesome. Depending on your needs

    2. OEM bed mat keeps stuff from sliding in the bed

    3. TSB 0062-18 if you don’t already have it updated since you have a 2016. Transmission related

    4. Grease all your ujoints. You should have 5 of them.

OVTune, an OEM bedmat, and hammer hangers :)

Oh and, grease the Zerks like the fine gentleman above me said.
Our trucks pretty much all came without enough grease.

Well it looks like it snows constantly where you live, in which I assume your city salts the road.

So I would say some rust prevention 1st like fluid film etc.

Welcome to TW! Bed mat for the win, the composite bed seems to include a little teflon. Don't ask me how I know...

Put a bed mat in to keep shit from sliding around, and drive the hell out of it the way it is.

    Congrats on the new truck!

Congrats on the new truck! I didn’t have the best time driving on snow with the stock tires (not on 4H) - I got Falken Wildpeaks, and it’s been much better.

    Thanks for the reply.

What type of grease do I use? And where are all of the zerks located?
