Went to Lowes for primer and paint and took a pick of the turck in the parking lot, just because. Guess that's mall crawling?

Came home and got the passenger side frame plate welded up and repainted. Krylon red primer with Krylon bedliner spray paint on top. Much happier with my welding too.

Ordered Feb 1, delivered Feb 11. Should have been the 9th but UPS failed. Not the fault of Tacomabeast there.

Swapped out the velcro straps for cinch straps on the un-hinged side of the RTT just now. With an additional 2" memory foam topper and my Tepui sleeping bag in the tent, it was getting pretty difficult to close. I was having to climb on top and sit on a corner to strap it closed enough to get the cover on there. Now I can do it from the ground.

Do you think this will work to strengthen a rusted frame? My buddy bought a truck with a little frame rot in that certain area and I was trying to look for something that he could weld in place.

Still came out cheaper shipped than the Trail Gear plates were before shipping.

It might, depending on how badly rusted it is. You could do the plates and then also box it to make sure it's still good and strong in your case.

If that’s the only problem area, it works just fine. I had to plate up the underside with some scrap 3/16ths plate as well. The passenger side rear shock mount is a perfect cup to catch dirt that’ll eat right through these frames over a dozen years (give or take)

Throttle spacer. AFE exhaust. JB weld differential leak.
Bought a rear bumper. My original bumper with weight reduction (rust holes) would not pass inspection.

Bought the Meguiar’s headlight restoration kit today and restored my headlights. My new corners came in so prepping for clear and shiny lights up front again.

I tried the toothpaste thing about a month ago and the results on mine were almost unnoticeable. UV light in Southern Az is on another level.

I didn’t take before pics but you all know what foggy headlights look like.
