I have a feeling I'll end up with one from them but figured I'd try the free junk part version first. I worry it may just collapse on itself lol

I have a similar setup but bit differently setup. Left over parts same as you lol. The 90 degree is the outlet to the vacuum. The long down pipe is from my sand blaster. I keep it with ~2-3" of water in the bottom but Im only really concerned with the fine dust from blasting.

Ill someday get a dust deputy for it or something else but this works fine for now....dont really notice must blasting dust in the vacuum.

For main vacuuming I have one of these....seems to work decently

I wonder if I should switch my hoses around? Easy enough to swap them. I will try both ways but your way seems to make more sense to me

Just thinking of this, Maybe you could put a barn door style /rail door that opens to the left as you come in? then it would be right there as you open the door.

It should work. You have the angles correct. I did a smaller version for my shop vac and it works great. I 3D printed the connectors.

Notice the dust at the bottom is in a vortex pattern. It also looks like gold panning. The lighter stuff is on the outside and the heavier particles are twords the center.

That's awesome. You should sell those printed adapters, if it's even worth selling them. Great job!

Just give it a try both ways. But I would leave it as is. That particular dust collect I showed is set up to have as much fine dust "sucked" into the water since it is a very fine dust.

The other one works well for things like saw dust. I just emptied it and it was filled halfway so its doing well.

My washer machine grenaded itself while the wife was out and she came home to water everywhere. Floors in the laundry room was toast...not a big deal. We've been wanting to replace the floor anyhow.
But the mudroom's wall that is underneath the laundry, shows alot of water sign. And then in the basement, you can see the same walls and water sign.
Right now we have fans going, airing everything out. But, my question is, do I need to replace the drywall now? Or paint the water spots? There is no signs of bubbling in the drywall. What do you think?IMG_20190213_165629.jpg IMG_20190213_165616.jpg IMG_20190213_165442.jpg IMG_20190213_165447.jpg IMG_20190213_165529.jpg

the basement wall is unfinished on one side? I'd probably just let it dry out and paint it in a month or two. Was the drywall soaked through or did it just run down the surface of it onto the floor?

Yeah this is the storage area of the basement. The water went underneath the laundry room floor, behind the wall of mudroom and down to basement. Lol I hope that makes sense.

I'd be more concerned with the enclosed upstairs wall.

I may cut a small hole in the bottom of the mudroom wall tomorrow evening and check the moisture. But until then, fans are going to be on high the whole time.

I gave it a test vacuuming some crap in the basement the bucket filled pretty well but some sawdust did make it to the vacuum. Not sure how to avoid this, I considered maybe just some pantyhose on the uptake tube. But all in all I'm a happy man with this contraption

Thought of just picking up the bags for your vacuum? I run them in both of mine just to collect anything that goes past buckets

Yeah I was actually just looking at them. I'll grab some. They seem very effective from what I read
