I purchased my 2017 SR5 back in Dec 2018. I wanted to down size from my F150 Double Cab 5.4L Lariat that I had bought new in 2004. I really liked my F150, lots of power and rode nice, just wanted something smaller. Decided on Tacoma since we have had great experience with our other Toyotas. I like the size and features, and the mpg is big improvement. My only complaint is acceleration. I thought I would get use to that, but haven't. Using the ECT power-on is good but it defaults to off when you start the engine. I've also noticed it has lots more acceleration when it's cold weather (in 30's). I'm guessing condensed air increases oxygen = better acceleration! I plan on looking into what can be done about weak acceleration issue with out messing up mpg.

Welcome to TW! Increasing acceleration will mean a drop in MPGs. The Pedal Commander is great for increasing your throttle response though and you can keep in on an economical setting when you are looking to boost MPGs: https://amzn.to/2TOEE9I
