Hmm....this really might be a viable option for me. Looking at my existing King rears I’m netting about 8.6” of travel, maybe closer to 9” with the internal spacer removed. I wonder if I can fit a 12” under there without cutting into the cabin.

What are you doing with links? Any issues hitting the uppers on the gas tank at droop?

some have done 12" with lowering the lower shock mount but i didnt want to get any lower than it already is. Some also have even mounted to the inside of the frame to mount it higher to allow for the 12"

No hitting at full compression or droop. Only place i touch anything is when the wheel comes in at / angle and pulls a touch on the flare as the wheel moves back down.

installed the ham and went to Pismo with the family.

got the tent on finally for the summer

    changed the buckles out

relocated my backup camera to under the swingout

Swapped the sliding ladder to a telescoping ladder. Takes up far less space and actually reaches the ground properly.

Secured my stove to the cook area so i dont have to carry it inside the cab for trips.

Picked up these to install bypasses hopefully soon up front.

Finally decided to reboot the CV axles since they've been torn far too long.

test fit the bypass mounts to see how they clear everything. I also have the pivot gussets i need to get welded up. *ahem @Bentrodder

    Thats it for now!

Some things have changed since the last time i updated. I have sold my CVT tent and purchased a Total Chaos 3.5 race kit with the upper heim arms.

These axles were a bit more difficult than my 4runner axles. Since i also bought OEM Tacoma axles to run the extended axles already in the kit.

With the upper heim arms i wanted to run the new Poly Performance "TacoTabs" since i can dial in my alignment further on the upper arm.

These things were the bane of my existence, but i finally was able to pound them out after i cut the shaft.

    All complete

Added solar panels to the roof to help keep my battery topped off since its not my daily as well as help with power while im out camping and using the fridge. I had a Renogy solar suitcase already that i deconstructed and made into a mountable solution. 100w combined system with a 20a waterproof controller.

I attempted originally to have the panels below and/or flush with the rack bars but the arch of my roof prevented that. I have since painted the brackets black to blend in more.

How’s this holding up? My sunroof seal dried up and shrunk. Thinking about doing your method(where did you find the aluminum spacers?) or cutting a piece of sheet aluminum and riveting it into the roof. Either way I have a prinsu rack covering the sunroof. Ideally I would get something welded in and wrap the roof but that would cost more than I want to spend.

Absolutely zero issues. I sourced the spacers at Lowe’s surprisingly. In their random bolt aisle. Zero leaks or noises and all the headroom I could need.

Sweet thanks, I will look into doing this today. Don’t need anymore headroom in the GX but I am tired of a leaking and noisy sunroof that I don’t use. Went to a touchless car wash and the water was pouring in.

Before you seal it up for good make sure you push out any drain blockage out of the front and rear of the sunroof drain tubes.
