Hey everyone. Been talking with @ChadsPride and trying to see about getting a Houston meet setup for TTC. It would be awesome to get Houston to the point where Austin side is at. Thinking of doing a monthly thing. Maybe at C&C Houston. Which the next one is 3-2. We can meet up all together before and roll in because I know it gets packed there. Or we can do it somewhere else. Looking for ideas and input, but I figured someone should get this ball rolling.

I know Houston is a big city so I think it would be better to do a more central thing compared to keeping it close to the south. Keeping it in the middle just makes it easier for everyone. Once it’s gets more setup then we can move around if we all want to.

And if u are not in Houston come on down.

I wish it was a 2.7L for the mileage. Plus I could just SC it and throw on a header easy peasy. Hard to justify buying a midsize v6 truck for the mileage... Then again the T100 may have enough room to easily install long tubes on the 3.4.... and it's old enough where I don't have to pass emissions...

There are 4 different C&C event locations in Houston are you referring to the Memorial City event? I would be willing to try and motivate my crew to attend and help you set up an event.

We spend a lot of time wheeling/camping/outside this time of year while we have decent weather so we haven't done much lately in a more "formal" meet up as we generally just shoot a text out and scramble everyone up for a beach run/car meet/dinner. I believe some/all of us will be wheeling the next few weekends with the IFS4LYFE and Mega Run(s) coming up. You're welcome to join on any trips we post if you would like and we generally post the info here, HTX T4R, TX4WD and various other offroad Facebook pages as well.

What side of town are you on? Bubba Burger Shack is a pretty good place to meet up off Westpark and hang out and is where TX4WD hosts their meets so its offroad friendly.

Ya the one in memorial. I didn’t know there was so many.
I am in cypress off 99 close to bridgeland.
I know if I post on FB the groups will show up also. Last time we did we had about 25-30 trucks show up. I just want to get Houston to start having something.

 

@ChadsPride are you gonna roll down for this? Cuz, I could make it a convoy! I may even have the gfc by then.

 

Can't say I will make the first one, but I had said before I intend to get to at least one of SATX, HTX, and DFW this year. So, be glad to see you get it going!

 

Down pending IFS4Lyfe damage report trucks limping but better

 

If we do the Memorial City Mall C&C they're pretty strict about it being 8AM to 10AM only as they want people clearing out before mall business hours. It might be a good idea to allow for a meet up for C&C and then roll out to a pre-determined breakfast/lunch spot so that anyone who can't rise and shine still has a chance to make it out to meet up and those who might come in from out if town can make a day of it. I don't know that side of town very well so maybe someone who does can chime in on some possible locations for that.
