    Aloha e Kakou,

This is my second Taco. My first, Bo Peep, was 19 years young with 226K miles when I sold her last week to a darling 70 year old Filipino farmer who, like me, needed to move farm products like chix shit!

I've now got a 2013 Access Cab, stock body. I need to put new tires and want to buy some new rims (nothing fancy) as the stock rims are just plain ugly.

Two guys here have told me that the 235/75/15 tire will serve me just fine.

But Toyota here says there's a chance they'll rub fender walls going over bumps or turning. YIKES. I can't buy tires and rims and then find out I don't have an optimum situation. I was trying to get a bigger tire as the 215/70/15 looks ridiculous small in that wheel well, right?

So what's the deal? I do not want to make any mods to the truck to accommodate a larger tire. But the two inches obtained with that 235/75/15 is what I'm after. Or is there something I'm missing? Would a 225/75/15 give me the height but less potential problem? Can you tell I only PARTLY understand this tire thing??

Mahalo nui loa. You've got a friend for life if you can give me a reliable answer to this query. I want to go online and buy rims if I can confirm what the heck I am doing with tires.

    Much aloha,
    Vicki
