I'm not new to getting stuck but I'm new to winches. I recently placed an order for the @c4fabrication Lo pro. If it were your truck, which winch would you go with. I don't want to get the wrong one. I want a 10k lb synthetic.

Do some research and get the best you can afford. I've heard good things about ENGO for "affordable" winches. Warn is the go-to, but can be pricey. I bought a used (but in great condition) Warn M8000 off feeBay for $400. You can get a new M8000 for around $600.

I have winches #4 and #5 of my 44 years of owning 4wds.... Both are VR12s Warn. First 3 were Warn. You can't go wrong with them. Warn and Smittybilt have good warranties. You're more apt to NEED it with Smittybilt

I had a Warn winch that I transferred to whatever vehicle I bought. I had that winch for 30 years. There is no question, my new winch for this truck will be a Warn. This time I'll be going 8000lb again but with a synthetic line.

There's a VR10 with my name on it - will be picking one up on my way home from work today.

EDIT: They were out of stock, but it'll be here monday! :bananadance:
