I just did the install Saturday morning right there in the driveway. It was 35° and it took my old @** 4 hours. Still sore from getting up and down on the concrete a 100 times. Do it again in a heart beat

What is the mileage difference with that size? Did you lose any power?

Yep. Did mine with a fellow TW member who has done hundreds of them, right before Christmas. I wanted to wait until I got my $$ worth from the factory tires and had the parts sitting in the garage for almost 2 years.

Total gas mileage impact was ~ .5mpg with E series KO2s, and I have no vibrations, noises, or anything else negative. Didn’t have to cut cab mounts beat on pinch welds or reshape plastic. Truck aligned fine with OEM control arms, no spacers/ shims needed, and I retained my mud flaps. Bilstein 5100s, OME 885s with a 1/4” Steel spacer on the driver’s side, and a beefy single AAL from SD Springs. Also got 5 of the tires and a matching 5th wheel to match.

It is amazing what people will go through for an additional inch. This is perfect to me. I call it my old man lift, but I do think I’ve grown a bit wiser in my years.

No, I have a 2” lift on it. Can’t believe you got 285’s on with no lift!

    Nice.

Did you paint or vinyl your rims?

You plan on painting the white fenders and hood?

That's an interesting tire size choice. I like the tread and aspect ratio, though the overall tire is right at 3/4" shorter than stock. That probably helps a tiny bit with throttle response; 2.5% higher rpm for the same speed.
