Hey guys n gals, been a while since I been on here, '97 T100 3.4V6 4WD 360,000 miles, oil changes are spot on, Valvoline 10w-40 high mileage and mobil1 oil filter, was thinking of doing an engine flush? Never done one before, also never done a transmission flush, should I do as well? Tranny shifts fine

With older vehicles there's no real benefit, you risk loosening the carbon off and jamming the pickup screen.

I would just suggest that the motor be HOT during oil changes.

Trans fluid a flush is good, but those aren't known for failures so even a simple fluid exchange would be sufficient. Same thing, the hotter the better.

Those V6 T100's are slow but bulletproof. All of the ones in Canada are pretty much rusted out now.

    Nope.

Just drain and replace what came out.
