    Hello All,

I have a 2007 Tacoma Pre-Runner going on 38k miles after almost 11 years of ownership. The first few years of ownership were relegated to "weekend duty" as my father being the primary driver just liked the idea of having a truck and kept his Camry as a daily. After a few years the taco became the daily but as you can see his daily drives are pretty short. I just handle the maintenance and aesthetic conditioning (sun visor replacements, waxing, paint chip repair, etc.). Tacoma world was a very helpful site for information related to the sun visor issue. I decided to join Tacoma world since the truck will become a family vehicle for years to come as it is just a solid machine. I personally drive an 2001 Celica (1st car) that I bought new. It has two bolt ons giving about 200whp at 2400lbs is hard to give up.

Ah good times. I'm searching the forums for a specific question - 3rd Gen stock rims on a 2nd Gen - are there any issues - fitment/handling/excessive wear and tear. Apparently the chrome rims over time can develop a leak and one of the rims is doing that - I had it fixed and it has held for two years now but I want a solid solution for the next 10 years.

We some chatty Kathy's. Better start getting caught up!

    I kid, I kid

Shouldn't be an issue, there are several people on the site running 3rd gen rims on a 2nd gen.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes. I have made an offer for 16" rims but it was a bit low as I am only interested in purchasing rims and would like to buy them before 2020. If anyone is planning to sell their 16" rims in the upcoming year, let me know - maybe we can work a deal before you have to buy your new rims. Take care all and have a great weekend.
