I love this truck. Landed at JFK in a snow / ice storm, this past Tuesday. Had a 100 mile drive north (mid-Hudson Valley, NY) to get home. Put it in 4WD, took it slow, pulled into the driveway 3 hours later. I lost count (definitely more than 25) of how many spinouts and accidents. Just grateful this TRD Pro wasn't one of them.IMG_0541.jpg

Snow is the one off-road obstacle that comes to you instead of you going to look for it and it's super annoying.

This winter my Sporr has been decent in 4WD with the stock Toyo A30s but now that my KO2s are on I might not have to engage 4WD again for the rest of this winter. We'll see.

Welcome to TW! Pleasant Valley eh? I grew up there. I’m still local but really only in PV when I’m working at the tree farm.

Going slow was the key, not the truck.

Imagine how well it would handle with some snow tires.

I was surprised at how well the truck does in the snow with the stock tires

Stating a fact. I've driven across Hwy 50 in Nevada back when I had my Pinto, finally hit some ice doing 50 and had to chain up to get back on the pavement. Other wise the car did fine, even when I lived up at South Lake Tahoe. Giving too much credit to the truck. New tires are better than worn out snow tires. In Kalifornia, to be legal in chains or snow tires required conditions, snow tires have to have 50% or more tread.

Not everyone is a billion years old with decades of snow driving experience, if the truck enables him to drive safer then why shit on that? Perception is reality and his truck kicked ass, let the man have his win.

I see you misspelled my name. Seems to be a lot of disrespect on this forum.

Perception is reality eh? Pretty glad I didn't teach my kids that or they would have grown up quite differently.

Glad you got home OK OP. The truth is snow and ice traction is all about tires, not the vehicle. 4WD helps you go, not stop. Tires.

Perception is reality lol. This is not abstract thought.

Edit: I see where you are from. Nevermind.

That’s how the real world works though, but I wouldn’t expect an engineer to know how things work in the real world. You’re excused.

It’s the internet, purely a pastime. Nothing should be taken too seriously, or at least nothing said by me.

Edit: that’s right you’re ignoring me
