Price seems reasonable I’d say maybe worth 5 to someone that don’t like yotas

I don’t think it is overpriced. If it has minimal rust then you got an excellent deal. I paid 10500 for a rust free 99 with 136000 miles.

    Where you from?

I saw a truck like this posted on CL in Lubbock Tx, looked super clean.

I think it really boils down to what each of us are willing to pay for a 1st gen Tacoma of our liking, with mileage, options, ect. I figure as long as were not paying 2nd gen used truck prices, then we're doing okay. When I bought mine back in 2010, the used 2nd gen market was too high for my liking, just my 2cent worth. Right now my biggest issue is not to invest more money on upgrades than the truck is worth. TW has given me way to many ideas on how to spend a shit ton of money, I'm not sure I can afford to part with. :)

2001 Extended Cab 4x4 Manual. 108k miles. $9,300, about 1 year ago. Really really nice condition, with a 3" lift on way too stiff camburg coilovers with add-a-leaf rear suspension on bilstein shocks. Also had ride-rite air bags... PO had a camper installed. Socal it's whole life, rust free aside from very minor surface on the underside and frame as it lived near a beach. Interior is the cleanest I've seen on any tacoma- seat's had covers on them since new. Since I've had it I've done timing belt and other maintenance items (all fluids, etc). Currently installing Icon UCA and Bypass front shocks and all pro expedition rear leaf packs. Truck gets used everywhere from pismo dunes to the snowy trails at the mountain peaks around here. Absolutely love it. Sound deadened the doors when I installed some Harmon Kardon Speakers and an amp. Much more planned for it; I expect to have it for a few hundred thousand more miles.

I looked at dozens of them before I decided on this one. Have an excel spreadsheet somewhere plotting mileage vs price and this one was a good price all things considered. Expensive for a 20 year old truck, granted, but I wouldn't take anything else for the money.

Forgot to mention, it's a TRD model with the E Locker.

New frame, leafs, and some other components as of this past November.
Minimal rust considering this is a Pennsylvania truck.
I’ve owned it for two weeks and am completely in love. Worth every penny and I plan to keep it running right n tight for as long as I can.
Plan to refresh/upgrade suspension when the weather warms up.

Paid $10,800 including a fresh timing belt and water pump, although I shouldve asked them to replace the idler and other crap in that area too. Could’ve done it myself, but for peace of mind it was worth it I believe.

Deluxe wasn't a factory trim or option package, you mean limited (doesn't appear to be since you have the SR5 badges on the door instead of limited)? That being said, very clean and nice looking truck!

Hmm, I assumed when I saw DLX on Toyota’s VIN spec check, that it was an abbreviation for Deluxe. Of SR5 or Limited, which is the highest trim for this gen? I’m guessing I have the SR5 color matched trim. But thank you, it’s the nicest thing I own heh.
