Been a JJ fan from early on, but Kyle was awesome to watch in the trucks. And Kyle is by far one of the best drivers ever in NASCAR.

But I now need to get back to :stirthepot:

Championships come by many factors... talent of course being one of them. I will give JJ/CK the credit where credit is due... they knew how to play the system to their advantage.

Notice all of his championships were in the chase era. They always played the points and kept themselves in the right position to make a run at the end. During the regular season he would do just enough to make the postseason then come on strong by fudge...er... optimizing their car. JJs best tracks also happen to be chase tracks

I read an article not too long ago that ran the numbers pre chase to see what the outcome would have been... JJ would have 0 in the old system... granted I feel his strategy would have been totally different also. Gordon would have 8... proving some teams would benefit from the chase more than others.

Back to the main point... talent is only 1 factor. Would Brady have 6 rings without Bellicheck?! No way to tell but imho I doubt it. Does JJ have 7 w/o CK?! No way. Same with equipment... look at Harvick... he was a mere average driver at RCR but as soon as he moved to SHR he has exploded... again many factors determine a championship.

Logano would have 0 had he not been with Penske or done it in another championship format.

    /arguement

Agree. It takes many factors. And yes I remember the first few years of the chase, and Gordon getting screwed by it. And the 48 just fudged their car better than others, you aren’t cheating till you get caught is what I think they say.

I was off with my estimate. I should’ve said “ALL of the sheet metal being auctioned Monday morning.”

I pick Jeffrey Earnhardt to take the supra to its first victory today and afterwards the internet is destroyed as a result of an earnhardt winning in a toyota.

Yep. Tomorrow isn't going to be any better. Pathetic. Nascar/drivers should be ashamed.

Yep. Shitty single file racing at Daytona. WTF!! At least the truck race was awesome. I hope tomorrow will be better, but seriously doubt it.

I watched the Clash last weekend, what was there, 200 people there ? Wasn’t many, what little they showed of the stands. Been kinda done with Nascar as of the last few years.

Yeah. Winner will be whoever's in the lead on lap 1 if they don't screw up their pit stops. There. I just saved you several hours of wasted time watching and hoping for a lead change.

Man, that would be so awesome for Paul and Wood Bros. They're still reeling from Glen's passing.
