What's a decent all around tire for Houston's rainy season? Not much need for off-road, but a light duty all-terrain would be good. Any suggestions from anyone in the Houston area.

I don't live in Houston, but I drive in the rain a lot here in the PNW. I like the Yokohama Geolander A/T G015. It's a mild A/T. Quiet on the road. It has 60,000 mile treadwear warranty.

I can say KO2 aren't the best for stopping, so may want to avoid those with our haphazard drivers. I liked the Wranglers for traffic, might be able to find someone on here with take-offs.

Discount tire has the wrangler tires pretty cheap. Just don't wanna go too cheap. But, they have a good rating. Thanx.

I'd check the TX classified sticky or post "WTB: stock tires". People remove them and replace with aftermarket wheels/tires often and let them go for cheap. The stock Wranglers on the Off-Road are nice in my opinion.

Here's the Classifed link, but not sure how many posts are needed before you can have access. It's definitely worth checking out for all sorts of stuff.

Goodyear Duratracs have the best "rain rating", as well as the 3 peak snow designation. Aggressive thread pattern, but not overly loud like a Mud Terrain! And more importantly come in a C Load.

I live in Houston and got these because they are supposed to be good in the rain. They weren’t very expensive either
