    Good morning everyone,

I just got the 2019 Tacoma and I see out there that there is a 100 dollar TRD Pro off brand grill. I love the look of the grill and see you need a clear part to protect the sensor. Installation looks easy but I'm concered that the sensor will be damaged 10 years down the road because of the clear "protection". Most of us bought the tacoma for the reliability but adding this 100 dollar China Communism made grill concerns me. Anyone had any problems yet with the grill or the sensor?

Also, anyone resell the oroginal grill online?

What does the actual Toyota TRD Pro use to protect the sensor? I don't see the clear layer on the Tacoma

Just a FYI... I bought pro grill but did not realize that glass looking piece is separate and can only be purchased OEM. I found a Toyota dealership selling it for $50 on eBay. So while the grill may be a china knock off the sensor plate and sensor still should work fine and are still OEM. It is the exact piece the pro grill uses.

When you replace the old grill you see the TSS sensor plate is currently your Toyota emblem on the front of your stock grill

I sold old grill to local tacoma owner

I didn't realize the pro grill has the clear part on the front. So there should be no issue moving it down 8 inches. Thanks for the post. How much the dealer give you for the grill?
