    Whats up guys.
I have always wanted a tacoma but I just payed off my 2013 Honda fit. But two weeks ago at a super bowl party at my friends house I found out that my wife's best friend's mom is selling her 2005 V6 Trd off road double cab tacoma and it only has 99k on it. Her mom said she is willing to sell it to me for 13.5k. It is 2wd but has the locking diff and brand new 31.5 falken wildpeaks and just had the 100k maintenance done of the truck. She said she would give me 2 months to sell my honda so that I can have enough money to buy her truck.

So what do you guys think? Should I go for it and join the club or is there something I should know about the 2005 V6 Trd off road model? I really want a Tacoma but is this the right one?

    Thanks guys.

Welcome to TW...13.5k sounds a bit high for a 2wd, however location could be a factor.

If the truck is a 9 out 10 I think it's a good deal . That is if she is the original owner or had the truck for a long time . Sounds like she took good care of it . Put it on a lift and take a look and GL .

13.5k is a bit high for a 14 year old, 2wd truck, but the mileage is right and these trucks run forever. Crawl underneath and take a hard look at the frame. Specifically around the catalytic converter. Not sure of your location, but in the rust belt states this is usually the first place to get rust perforation of the frame. I just got my 2010 back from the dealership today after a full frame replacement. Mine was covered under warranty, not sure that a 2005 would still be covered. Welcome to Tacomaworld. This site has been invaluable to me as a Tacoma owner. If you have questions, this is where you will find answers.
