First Tacoma - First Thoughts/Mods - Lug Stud Questions

    First Tacoma- '18 TRD 4x4 OR
    New shoes, Grille, Tint, Others on the way
    At the end of last year I finally decided to pull the trigger on a tacoma. Prior to this i had 2 silverados, both of which left me stranded and disappointed on multiple occasions. Anyway, I picked up a 2018 silver TRD OR with all the features you'd want and was able to leverage quite the deal since it was the last 2018 on the lot. Since then, there's been a couple of simple things I have been meaning to do, including:
    • Give it new (old) shoes. (pictures below) Before i traded my last silverado in, I removed the fuel rims and brand new 275/65R18 K02's (que the 18" wheel s**t talking now). I did notice that the lug studs are super short and was wondering if anyone had successfully paired the gorilla lug nuts (link below) with fuel wheels? The fuel's bolt holes are 5/8" in diameter and the gorilla lug nuts have a .62" flange so on paper it should work. But i'd like to know if anyone has done this before i spend any more $.

    • Debadged. I had to take off the ugly chrome badges. Especially the V6 badge, i'm still not sure why they still need everyone to know which engine it has.
    • Window Tint. The standard tint in the back is fine for me so i'll probably just end up matching that up front. Does anyone know the percentage they use? or does it differ dealer to dealer?
    • Swap out Grille. I love the looks of the 3rd gen tacoma, with the exception of the grille. The TRD Pro grille is ok and i will probably end up buying the chinese knock off for $100. I'd love to buy a really nice $500+ grille, but spending a lot of money on something that doesn't provide any functionality doesn't make sense. Especially given all of the other cool mod options out there.
    Once the warranty is up and truck fund has $ in it again, I will probably install a 3 inch lift and give it a significant power upgrade. I'm used to V8's so the V6 doesn't quite get me hard. The ECT Power helps a (small) amount, but not enough.

    Overall, I love it so far. I'm excited to be able to off-road with my jeep friends without scraping on trees. The other day I purposefully got myself stuck in 4hi, and then engaged the rear locker. Pretty excited to have this feature.

    Tires: 275/65r18 - no rubbing yet, but i haven't pushed it either. If it rubs, i'll throw the old wheels back on until i lift it.
