I really want 06/07 FX4 Level II 5 speed manual but finding one has been frustrating.

All the other trucks today only have an auto option. Currently the 15+ TRD are still $30k plus so I’m looking at a new one.

My question is, order a 19 or wait for the 20. I want a TRD Off Road Manual on Method Race Wheels. Haha.

I’ve been told the 20 has the 360 camera. Is that worth the wait?

Also does anyone order from the factory anymore?

We all want but sometimes we have to wait and take what we can get.... Expand your search or are you stuck looking in a narrow bandwidth hoping something will pop up on the radar? Keep in mind so are others looking for near the same thing as for waiting for the 2020 that can work out in one way as for time to build up an real kick ass down payment if you are not in a hurry... but who knows what the release date will be?

The 2019 are hot right now and so are the 2018 - I hate pulling into a Dealership with mine around here because Sales buttheads can not wait to ask me if I want to "Trade" it in .... if you not in a big hurry just keep looking and be ready to jump when one pops up that is in the scope of what you expect and want.

Thanks, one of the reasons I like to buy new is that I can get exactly what I want. With the TRD Off Road, ill order it no options and a manual.

Man that was my dream truck in high school, I remember when the FX4s dropped in 2001 or 2002 with the Alcoa wheels and then they separated the package levels, still a gorgeous truck today. I had a 2001 Extended Cab Flareside XLT 4x4 Off road, my pride and joy, dad used it as a farm truck up until a few years ago and 200k+ miles.

As you mentioned with Tacoma's if you are shopping within the last 3-4 model years it's worth it to grab a new one. Toyota is different than Ford in that they don't do custom orders, dealers are allocated trucks that Toyota chooses to build and they can work some magic in the system to move allocations based on what customers are looking for, but you'll notice the packages and options are pretty straight forward / bundled.

As far as the 19-20, its basically the same truck with the exception of updated grille, updated headlights and taillights, drivers power seat, entune 3.0 (apple carplay/android auto) and the 360 camera. As you can assume those will come with a slight increase to MSRP. Its up to you if you want to wait or try to snag a 19, since they were only small revisions/ a refresh, you're not gonna take a bath buying a 19 over the 20, just look how well 15s hold their value to 16s.

    Good luck and welcome!
