This light was surprisingly easy to take apart, probably because the 'factory seal' was almost all already broken. Washed it up and sealed it back together with some Gorilla Epoxy clear.

Replaced a dead led in my 3rd brake light. Old ones were from ebay or super bright leds, and new ones are Philips

So in that single piece DS thread there's been discussion of guys running a 2 piece with a double cardon joint after the CB. Someone posted this link for a company. Others took it to their local DS shop and had them do it with some spicer flanges etc. I am thinking of calling these guys giving them my DS measurements and getting one made and keeping old denty as my spare may or may not retube it.

Seen that, didn't feel like paying that much for a driveshaft. Lots of people saying things both ways on all of em.

 

Yeah that's what I was seeing too. But I gotta get mine retubed anywho and from what Aaron said it cost him this isn't that much more plus I'll have a spare now.

 

Tourndriveshaft is only as good as the guy building it.
My 3rd gen Runner has double cardan on t case end and slip yoke on the other as OEM
I’ve had horrendous issues getting it rebuilt (5 attempts at one shop)
The issue is with a DCV you have to center with a dial indicator, eyeball isn’t enough. Getting the shop to pay attention to details instead of the punch clock is real difficult.

Ultimately I ended up with a spicer equipped aftermarket shaft that’s been working very well.

I could have bought a new OEM for what I’ve spent in repair shops trying to “save a buck”

 

Yep that's one thing that's been on my mind

 

The retube was like 250 and a brand new one was close to 8 bills I wanna say, totally worth the retube

 

When I hade mine converted it only cost 3bills.
Chris has one build with a double cardon joint for 400 I think

 

But they didn't balance it right? It would of been more to rebalance too?

 

Like 50 bucks if that

 

Finally got around to replacing this bracket for my TrailToys fuel tank skid.

Anyone else good at math? Looking for corrected mileage for my 33s. Odometer x (revs per mile ratio) sounds good to me.
