As mentioned, you have my attention. But requiring power means some sort of modification when I can just walk to the back and wipe it with a wet napkin and waste 10 seconds of my time.

10 seconds of my time vs. spending $$$ and doing modifications.

When I say dirty I mean water and dirt sucked up off the road and atomized when driving. That's what gets all over the tailgate and lens.

Lick your thumb before and after lens cleaning. You get the best of both worlds.

Rain-X Plastic seems to do a well enough job keeping the camera clean for commuting use.

Wax the plastic lens, water beads right off in the rain and takes longer for grime to build up.

Unless it comes with a free hand job, I’d say $0.00

I would say nothing. If it was free it wouldn't be worth my time to install it. I have cleaned my camera twice in over a year of owning my truck. I just wipe the lens with my finger and wash my hands when convenient.

I am curious to see what you're thinking though. I think the people that would want something like this would live in wet areas (Washington State) or areas with a lot of snow. I will say my camera is useless if I'm driving in snow.

I just wipe it off as well, but I will say it gets dirty way too easy. The Subaru I had previously fared much better.

May give that rain-x a try.
