1 from a friends shop to another friends house. And one from a shop closing to a friends shop.

 

Those plastic coated sockets for wheels mentioned above work great on fancy Lugnuts and Wheels, I have a set of those. You should be able to find a decent set of regular deepwells on Amazon or one of the big box stores if you are on a budget.

 

Thanks, brother, I appreciate it. When I changed the oil on my GTI yesterday it was clear to me the dealer might not have been changing it like they should have been. I’ve never seen such syrupy synthetic oil drip out in my life so I’m doing my own maintenance again, like I should have been doing all along.

 

I am with ya brother, I cringe at the thought of someone else working on my vehicles as they never take care of it the same as you will.

 

I figure if it’s a pain in the ass for me, it’s a pain in the ass for someone else and they’re less inclined to do it if they figure nobody would know better.

One of the shittier things about getting older is that almost any project task seems to require reading glasses and a headlamp. I'm a headlight fan. But then add in the jobs where you need real eye protection, and hearing protection, and breathing protection. Feel like I'm going to fucking Mars. It can be a bit of a boner kill.

 

No I just got the "new" place to a tolerable level of utility.

Oh! I like that powerstrip. Is the table extension also from Snap on? I have the same box but with the stainless top. ill snap some pix of my boxes later.

 

Thanks. The Snap-on power strip of course fits perfectly and I also have the cord wrap on the back using the same holes. I've had the flip up shelf for probably 25+ years and can't recall where it came from! Would like to add a side box at some point.

 

It only helps a little, but you can get safety glasses that are bifocals.

 

I have 2 of those folding side shelves. Got them at sears years ago. Just look and harbor freight has them for $28.

 

Safety readers are great. Stay on your head when not in use there when you need them.run around $16 to $20.
