Its really fairly new. JCR was a big name in Jeep and they are just expanding into tacomas. One of the main guys has a 3rd gen.

Mounted just in time to hit the road to Johnson valley for KOH.

Under 100 bucks for boards and brackets. Worth it.

    Headed for KOH 2019
Had to stop in vegas obviously
    [IMG] [IMG]

Couple hours later we made it to

What a trip. It really is like burning man meets offroad racing.
We showed up to a car that was partially built and needed some love.
So for 3 days we wrenched on it in the wind and finally got to the point we could pre run.

Well prerunning we bent the frame. Yeah the frame. We shorted our wheel base on one side by 3 inches.
I spent the night leading up to qualifying trying to make the rzr run and the wheel travel. Thru the judicious application of sawzall, heat gun and adjusting the toe we got it on the line to qualify..............

AND then we DNF'd (Did Not Finish) What a shit show.

Belt ripped a bunch of teeth off and sent the engine into limp mode. So we started at the back of the pack the next morning. Up all night fixing the car again.....

Race day we start 94th. While lined up the GPS puck for our nav unit shits the bed. Straight dies. Running scramble to get that sorted out and I end up throw my tablet in instead of the Lead Nav race software we were running. I didnt have the necessary tracks on the app since that wasnt supposed to be in the car. but hey at least they had something.

They made it 2 miles and the car shit another belt. (were thinking there is a clutch alignment issue now). Belt replaced and rolling they make it thru the first lake bed section and into the rocks. And then our race was over. 29 race miles in the rear lower radius arm sheared off the frame and gave us some serious mexi poke. I wasnt able to cross the race track so I put about 150 miles on the taco hauling ass thru the desert to get out to my guys. Well next year will be better.

And on the way down I almost traded the Taco in. The transmission in this thing is a piece of shit. Well maybe not the trans but the idiot that programmed it needs shot. Ordered the OV tune while I was on the way home and should have it programmed here soon.

@victory4x4 Sliders showed up today. Much like everything from those guys I'm very impressed.
1 week from order to ship and another week to make it across the country on a pallet. Local dealer was cool enough to let me ship to their loading dock so I didnt need to drive an hour to the nearest fedex freight location. Soon as it warms up a bit I will be painting these bad boys and putting them on.

    Here they are.
Super impressed with the quality and ease of install. Very beefy and full bolt on. There is an option to increase strength by drilling two new holes per side. I'll do that when it warms up but they hold my weight easily.

Lexus Credit Card key programmed to the Taco is working and it is so nice to not carry a key fob anymore.

I also did the ECGS needle bearing replacement today. Pretty easy and straightforward task. Actually did mine and @BOMBS.Takes about 2 hours.

Thanks to @Quadabaum for the lend of the tool. Gracious mi amigo

    Progress continues.
Today the exhaust was rerouted to get it above the frame.

    20190305_170501.jpg

So now my skids are on order.
I went with @victory4x4 full set as I was super impressed with the sliders.
And they dropped this today so I grabbed it too. Handy place to store some frequent used items.

They have a promo of "intropricing" that will save you 15% if you order pretty quick.
