I just went online and see they now offer the 24F for what you paid. WM apparently has dropped their price. The 24F I have in my 4Runner and Avalon were more than I now see online. I wonder if Costco's pricing had anything to do with this?

few updates on the Duracell from Batteries +, it is 840 CCA- not sure why their website lists at 710; the oe battery is 710 CCA

also as someone above (or the other thread) mentioned, the Duracell is a touch taller than oe and I had to slot the hole slightly for the rear j hook

    $111 for 840 CCA battery isn't too bad :)

I just don’t seen the reason to pay $200 to $300 or more for a battery. Those expensive batteries do not last longer than the moderately priced ones. For 20 plus years replacement batteries in all my vehicles have been either Costco or Walmart batteries. All have lasted at least 5 years. I currently replace my batteries at 5 years. I do that rather than wait for it to fail and when it does it will always fail in a bad place or at a real bad time. Replacing it every 5 years means the battery costs me only about $20 a year . That’s cheap and I don’t have to worry about failure.
Tacoma’s with the tow package come with the 27 series batteries. If your truck has a 24 series replace it when it’s time with the 27 series. You get a lot more reserve for a few dollars more.
I just replaced the battery in my truck with a new Costco Interstate 27 series battery, $90 out the door after return of the old battery. 5 years I’ll replace it again, $18 a year for use of the battery, cheap and dependable.

I've heard great stuff about Deka Intimidator AGM batteries, but I don't have one (yet). I think they are made in the USA. I have Deka jumper cables and they are amazing.

Northstar, Odyssey, and Deka Intimidator series batteries. Exide is not bad for a flooded lead acid battery.

Neverstart and Interstate batteries are shit.

Costco doesn't carry 27f's, I doubt Malwart does either. I know Autozone does and battry plus does.
    No more Sears.

Everstart Maxx 27F 810cca 3 yr free replacement 5 yr prorated, $119.96, on the shelf at our local WalMart in Lebanon TN. I'm really surprised the places ya'll say don't have the 27F's, I thought they were everywhere.

I recently got a 27F 810cca from Costco for $90 after return of old battery. I find Walmart and Costco batteries to be excellent batteries and all have lasted 5 plus years.

NorthStar or odyssey for my taco. I always just bought regular batteries, but I was sold when a buddy took his odyssey out of his jeep for a complete rebuild which took almost 5 years. That battery sat in his slightly warm shop on the cold concrete floor the whole time without any help, and after 5 years that battery was put back in and had full juice to start the jeep. And that battery is still in use. I bought one and I can tell you the taco turns over a lot faster than the stock battery even when stock was brand new. For a Canadian climate it was worth the extra money.

I have the Diehard Gold battery, much better than the factory battery.
It has more cold cranking amps ( 825) than the stock battery, helps a lot in the north, cranks much faster..
5 years old and is making it through the cold winter, cranks about the same as my new factory battery so I will need a new one this summer. The factory battery is to low on cranking power in winter and barley lasted 4 years.

The Diehard is just starting to crank slower after 5 years but is still strong enough to do the job. In warmer states it may be good for a few years yet, but I'll replace it before next winter.

No doubt, must be a very good battery, 5 yr free replacement warranty. But for my $359.99, I'll take 3 of the Interstates, Everstart Maxx, or Duralast Gold, at appx. $119.99, that's $359.99, they have 3 yr. free replacement warranty. Run it for 3 yrs., replace it with another, run it for 3 yrs., then replace it & run another 3 yrs. You've spent the same money & have got 9 yrs. worth of free replacement warranty for the price of 5 yr. from the X 2 Power, & that's if you replace the cheaper batteries just cause the warranty runs out, not cause they need replacing. I'm sure glad the X 2 Power batteries are there for the folks who want them, but for me, I'll keep using the cheaper ones until they start causing me problems.

BUT you don't get anywhere near 195 reserve capacity. It appears a lot of y'all keep missing that VERY important fact.
That, to those of us that use our batteries while off roading/camping/hunting/etc., is well worth the extra money to not get stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Sorry, but I really didn't miss that VERY important fact, I addressed it by saying I was glad the X 2 Power & etc. were out there, for the folks that want (or need) them, It doesn't matter if its for someone off roading/ hunting/ camping/ etc. out in the middle of nowhere or for someone living in town & driving to the grocery store once a week, If that's what those are comfortable with, I'm glad we all have access to what we want.
