Little too far away from me. Sorry, but good luck I'm sure there's someone close by.

Should be moved to the proper regional thread. Change the heading with NC in it.

Plus you got work to do on my truck :D:boink:

I've got a sawzall, going over to the folks house this week to do mine until we install the CMR. I am getting tired of hearing the tires rub.

Do you rub now, what size tires are you running, what lift, what size tires are you going up to? I could chop the cab mount off but don't have any means to make or weld a plate on. There are lots of guys that just do that and run them open for the longest time. If you got a sawzall or grinder with cut-off discs go to town not that hard. Then just take a file or that angle grinder with a flap disc and smooth your cuts.

@ovrlndkull 265 70 17 on it now good year duratrac with a stock wheel 16” painted. Wanna go with a 285 tire or so but I just bought my truck if I get it done I want it done all the way just saying and I def wouldn’t want something open like that in the wheel well causing rust. If you know someone that can cut it and weld it let me know. My email is travispoteat67@gmail.com

The front would just be open it wouldn't cause rust since you just paint the cut edges. If you aren't lifted then fitting the 285s will need a lot of trimming of the fenders and such. Also once you lift it if you get aftermarket UCAs you can get quite a bit of caster out of the alignment and may not even need a CMC. I would suggest you start reading up and going in steps instead of skipping quite a few as it seems you are

Here is what a CMC looks like open. It already is somewhat open anyhow to allow access to the bolt

Here is one with a plate welded back onto the front

That makes sense with it being open I just think the plate does away with the sharpness of the metal therefore if it’s any rubbing it won’t cut into the rubber and I think it’s a cleaner look
