Had the parts laying around for a while and planning on doing this today, I don’t own the thread sealing tape but I do have a jug of thread sealing paste(pipe dope) anyone think that would be an issue?

Mod complete. Didnt realize how much of a difference there would be between the early second gens and the late model. But a few broken clips later and it’s done.

Use some spit, or some type of lubricant.

You're talking about putting into the "hose", right?

One thing I did different - after looking at the installation of the fitting in the axle - bought an elbow fitting to go in the axle instead. The straight up fitting and attached hose looked too much like a target for brush or rocks. The 90 degree outlet allowed running the hose across wth the brake tubing on the axle.

Unable to get a good camera angle to view this today spare is in there - but this is how the hose fitting sticks up out of the axle housing......
    fitting on axle 2.jpg

The 90º elbow fitting is 1/8 BSP and looks like this.... got 304 stainless one off ebay from (of course) CHINA...

Anyone know What size hose comes with the kit from Yotashop? The online product description didn’t specify.

I ordered one yesterday and need to pick up some hose clamps.

    Thx.
