I agree on the spray wax. I couldn’t get Collinite to last from December to March here.

I live in Cali (no winter), so everything lasts longer here :)

Actually the opposite. Warmer weather melts wax off a vehicle. We do not have harsh winters here. Only snows 2-3 times a year with around.

I opted to go with a ceramic 9H coating on my truck from a local reputable installer. All the exterior parts (plastic, metal, paint, headlights, windows, mirrors), interior and paint correction for $1200. Should be all done this weekend :)

    You’ll love it

It’s so insanely easy to wash my truck after the ceramic coating. People compliment it all day long

Which installer? We need to do my wife’s (she’s got some nasty water spots etched in her clear coat) and I’m not sure I have the time or energy to do it again. I’m in SD too.

A good ceramic coating and PPF does wonders. I have Suntek Ultra PPF partial frontal and rockers / rear bumpers done along with Ceramic Pro 9H+Light. Washing is a breeze and paint looks amazing. For the guy asking who lives in the apt. $1600 isnt that much if it includes paint correction, which should be done prior to ceramic coating, just make sure you do your homework on your detailer and products.

Wise choice, have had my 15, 17 and 19 done in Ceramic Pro 9H+light. Make sure you avoid automated car washes even touchless (harsh detergents), wash it regularly and do the annual and it will look as good as years from now. Living in AZ, I opted for PPF this time as well. Love it, but $$$.

I got mine done at Pacific Coast Auto Detailing, be sure to ask for Eduardo (the owner). He did my entire trucks' exterior/interior plus paint correction for $1200 (tax free). I asked him to also do the bed and he did the whole thing for an additional $225. It turned out great, especially all the black plastic parts. It's darker and has a slight shine to it. I'll try and post pics soon.

Yea I'm loving it so far, I had it done on my previous car and definitely think it's worth the money, especially if you're planning on keeping the car/truck.

Here's a few pictures of the truck after having the Ceramic Coating applied plus paint correction. The black plastic looks super black

The paint correction is what makes it pop. Even our new trucks come from the factory needing some good love. Looks great!

If it was a certified CeramicPro installer and the silver package then it should have ceramic pro light on the wheels and glass, 9H on the body, silver package is 5 year warranty, bronze 2 year and gold is 10 years I think, decent PPF should be a 10 year.

Flightshield 9H Ceramic Coating. He got the wheels, glass, mirrors and bed along with all rubber and plastic.

Gotcha, seemed a bit cheap for CeramicPro, but all the products are equally great, CeramicPro just has the certification / name behind it. All about the installer. Looks great.

Yea that's what I was told. It's all about branding, but the quality is the same. I've had the installer do some previous work on my other car so I knew he was solid. Plus, he's got overall great reviews online. I got quoted nearly $2000 at another installer for the same stuff just using CeramicPro

Ya Ceramic Pro is getting expensive, I'm a repeat customer with my guy so I got a deal on mine $1300 for the 9H + a layer of light and the $1300 for the PPF, now that shit is expensive.
