I guess I'll wait for new owner to post it before I take it into the count.

Thanks for posting lovely truck. While 96 is still the same truck, but it was included in 1995 sales numbers. According to Manufacturers Toyota sold 141,094 Tacoma in 1996.

    Too few to list.
No need, I already sold it. It had 132K original miles. Bought it for $5K and sold it for $8.5K. I knew the rarity of the 3.4L in the regular cabs but then just two weeks after owning it last year, I saw another one in red just driving along in the highway. So I guess it all depends in what region you live in but they are out there. I used that money to acquire a 2001 AC TRD 4x4 Manual with 80K miles. The 95.5 was too pretty for my needs and use and sold it so someone else can enjoy it. Now I have 3 trucks but mostly use the 2nd Gen.

So if you don't have it really nobody knows if it is still alive. Till the new owner comes up I'm taking it out of the count. The thread is about "how many are still out there" not "how many people had one" :p

I'm pretty sure it's still out there. He was real eager to buy it and drove 2 hours to get it.

This was my logic when I got rid of my 2016. Now I’m in the same boat with the 95!

I guess they’re all too pretty. Except for 98-00.

this is similar to what my '95 non-Tacoma, just 'pickup', looked like before I traded in 2yrs later (~28k miles) for the beefier v6 xtracab with more room to keep my clothes, tools etc. out of the elements. basically living out of my truck from road job to job at the time. It had no 'luxuries' other than power steering which my old Celica did not have lol

I wonder if it is still on the road today .. I always keep a look out for it but rarely do I see ANY truck this old around my parts
I still miss it, especially that dark blue color and the easy-to-open sliding rear window while driving down the highway @105.F because the NO A/C thing lol
did nothing but sweat sweat sweat in this one for 2 summers

That color was awesome. Looks like the GM "Marina Blue" from the 1960's muscle cars:

    I owned one of these:

Yup, same truck! Side stripe removal and a few other small things. Lighting has a huge effect on the paint color. Always wondered if the tint was factory.

Bought it brand new in 1995. Drove it for 22 years—just sold it to a young kid for $2500.00 Had just over 200,000 miles on it.

In Windows Firefox or Chrome I just copy a picture to clipboard (even print screen works) and paste it straight to the post text. The longer way is click on the "upload the file" button

    upload_2019-2-19_7-47-9.jpg

    Select image to upload:

    upload file.jpg

and insert it as a "Full image"

    upload_2019-2-19_7-48-59.jpg

If you use phone, tablet or Mac then I don't know.

By the way you can edit your original post and insert image there. No need to create hundreds of empty posts.

What about the grille/emblem? that is the first thing I noticed ... not a small thing for sure!
