Just updated the CL6 app......Tried it and it worked while the truck is out in my driveway!

I'll try it again after I go to work tomorrow (Off today for President's Day)

    Fingers are crossed!

Hey guys, I bought the N2 Designs kit for my wife's 2017 Highlander SE and so far I like it. Heads up the instructions were a little confusing and getting the timing right on the smartkey clicks was a little annoying specially when I was trying to get it to start infant of the wife to impress her. :) All in all it a nice kit and I will eventually be getting one for my taco except I'll go for the one that allows you to start the car through the phone. If any one is interested here is the install video: https://youtu.be/lZX6HQhyla0

Love the optimism. @jmeitz is the glass half empty type of guy and I’m the glass half full...of vodka guy. He’s the yang to my ying. My spam is getting redirected to Jeremie’ inbox in 3...2...1...

I just noticed an update in my AppStore for iOS... for yesterday, I assume based on your responses I shouldn't waste the time updating?

Always update. This is an APP update not the OTA firmware push we’re waiting on.

This could be the precursor or a looming sign to the second half of what we’re waiting on...

Random question... Where’s the best place to put the included warning sticker?

Probably my business card but I won’t judge Aaron. I’ll send you a stack this time, certified mail with signature required.

What's my chances that if enough of us complain...or if we "formally" complain to you and Jamie, we can get like... a discount from the CL6 subscription? Haha

I just installed the smart key remote starter with fobs in my '17 DCSB. Gotta say it was a pretty simple install and seems to be a terrific product. I installed the "antenna" for the fobs high on the B pillar rather than on the windshield. Does one of these locations provide better range than the other?

Let me call them tomorrow on that, I'll try to see if we can add or reset lost time for performance or loss of use. I'm thinking to inquire tomorrow, but to wait until it's fixed to maximize lost time back to you. Not a bad idea. I'm your advocate, always. If they will do it, I'll take down names of all those affected. They have ways to verify it, so if it does work, and has been working for you, then just let it be, enjoy your product. I don't want to dilute the list and take away from the small handful that has been dealing with this. Great idea Rob!

Anyone interested, PM me your 16 digit code that you used to activate your device. It's on the sticker that came on the unit (that you were supposed to stick on the doorjamb) or the easiest way is to take a screen shot from the app settings that displays it and PM me. I'll try to accumulate a list, because the fix is likely days to a week away, since Jeremie is testing it now.

    Thanks,
    Jimmy

Nope, RF kit is bullet proof because it's frequency isn't affected by low voltage lines in your vehicle. If anything, all the metal in your vehicle makes it more amplified!

This is not to be confused with the 4G module, where it DOES matter to not bury it, not keep it next to other controls and not to attach it directly to metal as the cellular signal can be affected.

    You're good to go Chris!

What type of range does this remote have when using the OEM fob?

    Thanks.
