I installed 5100's set at 1.75 Friday night. Saturday morning I had the alignment done. I was surprised that the front ended up as high as it did. I went from nose dive to nose high. Not a big deal, as I have Firestone bags in the rear. A few extra PSI solved that problem. Now running 10 PSI rather than 5.

Here's my question. The font tires, to me, seem to toe in at the bottom. I have the print out and everything LOOKS right on paper?

    Here's the truck:

See what I mean? Is this normal at this setting? Seems to me I'll be expecting uneven wear?

You do have over 1 degree of camber... If you're lively in the corners, the outer edge of your tires will wear a little more quickly but it shouldn't be a problem. With only 1,75" of lift, I would have expected the shop could have gotten your camber a lot closer to 0 though... Looks like the shop was lazy and basically set the toe and sent you on your way. Also, where's the caster reading??

That's what I was thinking too... Maybe I'll let a different shop take a crack at it.

I'd take it back and have them readjust your alignment. Should be able to get dead nuts 0 or very close. Also would ask for caster read outs.

    Ha, I didn't. That's what I was afraid of...

Thank you, I was in a hurry to get it done. I took it to a shop that could do it on Sat. So I wouldn't have to deal with the logistics of dropping the truck off before work, getting a ride, etc. I think I'll just stay away from that place and take it to a place with a good rep. If they can't get it right the first time, I'll just cut my loses, you know?

Too bad, the guy SEEMED to really know his stuff. Oh well...

It may in your best interest to let them know what you would like to see/expect out of your camber and caster settings. What is considered to be within specification is actually a pretty broad range and I have found that technicians will often settle for the edge of that range, set the toe and call it.

Took mine to a local shop for an alignment - no bueno

I had to take mine to the Toyota dealer and have them align it... they did a warranty alignment after I told them what happened

My wheels looked like yours but I have a 1/4" spacer and set at 1.75"

I don't know why but the local shop couldn't get it close

I love the look of your truck, thinking about going the same route. What are the details? How is the noise with those tires? Hope you get your issues resolved!

Alright, just got back from the alignment shop. They did a better job. The toe was out as well. AND all four tires were out of balance...

Guess I know what shop to avoid from now on.
