Looking for some pictures of what everyone is running for inner fender liners after cutting stock flares and fenders. Tested a 315 yesterday and it is rubbing everywhere. Also looking for tips when keeping the stock front bumper not wanting to add the weight of aftermarket bumper, MO TACO is the only one I have found still running front stock bumper ( i have reached out to him for info) anyone else?

Have you chopped the cab mount and hammered the punch weld?

Keep us updated - I definitely need this info as well. I want to trim too but still have some sort of liner. I have a nice plastics place near my house and I'm assuming I'll try to have them make me a custom liner I can shape and screw in somehow....

I cut mine for 35's (2.25" out of everything) but am only running the 285/75/17s currently. Pics in my build thread.

I've been running 315s for like 3 years now, cut front fenders and flare 2" cut as much as possible off the cab mount and lots of firewall hammering. I still rub but only at full stuff. Only 2.75" of lift in the front, and 1" BL. I didn't touch the rear. We cut away most of the inner fender liner and left a small amount at the top and front at the time it was done because I didn't have a snorkel. Post snorkel it's really useless. Used zip ties to keep everything tucked up and away

Did you keep any sort of liner?? Hard to tell but it doesn't look like it.

Also, did you have to trim the Bushwacker fenders? I was under the impression the Bushwackers didn't offer any sort of extra clearance versus stock.

    Nice truck.

I did not keep the liners which lead me immediately to adding the snorkel. It was something I planned to do eventually so I just went to town on everything at once. The ebay knockoff flares are over an inch wider than oem and with my current wheel tire setup, they keep everything covered nicely. with nice offset wheels and 35's you wont be able to cover them anyway so its more of a look preference at that point. I trimed them along the factory seam (where the flares are molded from the flat face to the angled face that attaches to the truck). My factory front flares were barely hanging on from brushing trees and rocks so I was no able to reuse them. I will say that the ebay flares lined up with all but 2 factory flare holes so it was nearly a bolt on installation with 5/16's hardware.

    Thanks!

Thanks to all and really sick trucks, definitely helps with how much to cut but really looking for anyone who kept or re-engineered some sort of inner liners with stock front bumper.

The problem is the factory liner attaches to the part of the fender that you cut. You could leave "tabs" on the fenders when you cut and try using those to reattach the liner. I think thats your best bet. I was having a hard time not rubbing mine period with just 285/75's so with 315's I'd be very surprised if you make something work without limiting your uptravel. Isnt there a tw vendor making replacement liners? I though I saw something there about an option for modified fenderwells.

You'd be surprised, there isn't much left of my inner fender liners, and they are tucked up a little higher than normal even stuffing the shit out of the front it rubs in a whole lot of other places first. It's all very subjective too depends on suspension setups wheel and tires etc etc etc

Ya that makes total sense. For me, I'm a little shy of my original lift height and on serious wheeling I am kissing the bottom side of the inner fender wells. I also run skinny 7" wheels with hardly any offset. Could be that my camburg ucas dont give enough caster correction either.

My methods are only 8" wide, rubbing is part of life. I found out that when I really stuff my fronts they rub the Resis on my kings, I actually broke the metal clamps on the bottom area of the resis last summer on Rubicon also why I carry a few hundred zip ties with me lol.

Thanks for the info. I definitely won't be going 315's though. The size I'm looking at is relatively skinny, 275/80R17, which is a strong 34".

I had thought I saw a guy trying to come up with something to sell, but this was a year or two ago and I don't think anything ever came of it. If/when the time comes I'll just start choppin' and figure something out. I like the idea about leaving tabs and trying to reuse the factor liner.

MO TACO's truck above looks perfect.
