I'm close to finally pulling the trigger on a suspension upgrade. I don't want or need anything crazy. I pretty much want a little more ground clearance for our unpredictable northeast winters and also for the rare occasion that I explore some back roads on my way to the beach. I think I've narrowed it down to a Fox level 1 set up from headstrong, AAL and some Total Chaos UCA's. Has anyone ever gone with this? Seems the level 2 has been a source of conversation, but I don't see much about level 1. Pics would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm thinking of just bumping to a 265/75/16 KO2. I know it's not a big jump from stock, but again, the added stuff isn't all that necessary.

I'm also considering it. Maybe you should go ahead and install one for research purposes and report back with your data!

Just kidding....but seriously........I'd like to know more about the Level 1 kit. I kinda want to do this instead of the 887 setup so I can keep costs down a bit and not impact too much of my angles, gas mileage, etc....

Looking at doing something similar but going with 2.5's in the front and 2.0's in rear (Stage 2A from Accutune). From what I know, the 2.0's will do fine for street but once you take them off road they start to leave more to be desired.

Interesting. I'm still considering what to do, but I'm now leaning towards either going with Bilsteins all around and either 885 or 887 coils, might do AAL or nothing at all in the rear. I'm trying to avoid messing up my angles too much, and want to pair a good tire size with the lift so I don't get much rubbing.

If your only lifting 2" in front and 1" in back then the angles should be fine. If you want to avoid rubbing then you could go with something like a 255/80/17 Cooper ST Max or Toyo MT with Bilsteins and have a really well rounded truck. A lot of guys like the pizza cutters.

Gah, I know. Not sure what I think about the skinnies. I kinda like the look, actually, but I haven't researched how the 33" height would work with 2.5 inch lift since its so much more narrow. My only concern with the ST Maxx is that its a heavy tire compared to other options.

Falken makes the Wildpeak AT in that size, and its a little lighter weight.
