Anyone have experience with installing a rear window defroster on their shell?

Put a space heater in the bed, plug it into the bed outlet. Push the inverter button when you need to defrost.

No inverter button and I don't want to heat the whole bed, just the window.

I haven’t the need to do such a mod, however it seems fairly straight forward.

Use a modifiable heating element like this one, https://www.frostfighter.com/clear-view-defrosters-about.htm

Add a quick power disconnect between the shell window and the harness entry point under the body

Make power harness with a standard 30 amp relay and suitable interior switch, run cables down driver side frame, into cab via the seat grommet for switch, and through firewall for relay power... all done. There are many different methods to install, what are your specific concerns?

P.S., looks like you need to level your wings 1 degree to the left... nice 5 degree pitch up holding steady at FL370, estimating Mach .80

That was the system I was looking at. Wiring it up is pretty simple. I own an avionics shop, thus my avatar. The PFD is a stock photo I found somewhere.
