Honestly, ever time I see a Ridgeline out on the road, I am overcome with a profound sense of pity for the owner. No one should have to drive such a sorry looking vehicle.

That bumper guard though. A whole new level of despair at how humanity could go so wrong and bring such a thing into existence.

I always thought the Ridgeline hit a perfect niche in the demographics of marriage. Guy wants a truck, wife says no. Guy takes wife to Honda dealer and sits her inside a Ridgeline, they compromise. She gets a nicely fitted out vehicle and he gets his truck sort of, limited as it is, it aint a CR-V.

If I took my wife to the Honda dealership she would call me a pussy and immediately file for divorce.

IMHO FWD Honda Ridgeline is not the main threat but Colorado and Ranger are more potent threats. The new Ranger looks pretty impressive; perhaps a new sheriff in town?

I test drove the black edition and I really thought it was going to be my next vehicle. It drives like a Lexus and looks good (Black Edition is the only Ridgeline I like).

Then on a whim, I convinced my fiancé to test drive a voodoo blue pro....and I was hooked. The Taco felt like a tractor on springs...and I loved it :D

Should be obvious - the Ridgeline is the most carlike model in the segment.

First gen Ridgeline was a sales failure. In fact, its poor sales numbers convinced Toyota to keep the basic platform the same going from 2nd to 3rd gen - Toyota openly announced this back in 2015.

Rumor has it my ex-wife's new squeeze drives a ridgeline. It gives me such a warm feeling of schadenfreude to hear that.

Honda then provides you a 100,000 mi. warranty on that transmission. My dealer provides the 100,000 mi warrant at no extra cost on any new Honda he sells you. Good stuff.
