Every time I hit a pothole or a bump, I get that clanking noise. Noticed it right after Bilstein 5100 install. I thought it was the skid plate clanking around, but I removed it and it’s still there. It also makes the same noise when I open and close the door (which is what I did in the video twice at 0:04 and 0:07). Anyone know what this noise is and how to fix it? It’s driving me crazy. Thanks!!

Sounds like a exhaust shield flopping around.

Are the backing plates behind your brake rotors coming in contact with anything

Go around and jiggle everything you can get your hand on, if it rattles and it’s not supposed to, tighten the bolt

Super easy, go under the truck, find all the exhaust shields and move them around till you find the one that's bad. Once you found it, remove it. You can get a new one at your leisure.

get somebody to lie under the truck and listen while you close the door. It may sound like it is the from but may in fact be the rear.

Tie a piece of string around something on the door, crawl underneath and pull the string to close the door.

Did you take the beer can out of your side door pocket? Mine sounds like that after a long day at work often

Ok I'll admit i am wrong..... but since you are in San Diego. I will tag you in a weekly meet thread for the SD crew. I am sure if you show up they can help you find that noise.
