All gates will be open sometime next month.
    But so will musterground.
There no wheeling really in Horspasture. Just some trails with some scenic stops.

Musterground has a ton more technical stuff.

Haven’t run musterground yet. HPR and CMR are the only ones I’ve been on. CMR camping down by the river wouldn’t be bad either.

There are several bear camps in MGR.
I've seen several that were really nice.

Need to post up in the MG thread and get some possible dates up.
I would avoid major game hunting dates.

In. Maybe after Southeast Monsoon Season passes..:rain:

Me, @EricL , and @ClemsonMGM ran MGR back in the fall during a light drizzle. It was pretty fun.. a couple decent hill climbs..

I'm in for a run just about anywhere anytime soon. The Land Between the Lakes meet is March 7-10th for me, though.

However, I remember a run quite a few of us did a while back. There was a DNR guy right when we pulled in and asked us about firearms but didn't ask us about hunting licenses.

    I think @TownvilleTim and @Marty65
    Were there.

Yeah, he just asked about firearms. I remember Trey named off about six and the guy just asked him if they were loaded. Speaking of... has anyone heard from him?

Maybe hitting mustergrounds this next weekend with the Jeep. It's across the lake from horsepasture and quite a bit more technical.

I don't think anything is in season right now but there might be people up in there scouting.

If your rig isn't equipped for moderate wheeling, I'd probably make a trip up to HP with the prerunner.

According to the pic I posted earlier, I would just suggest getting a sportsman license just to make sure you're covered.

I'm probably due to get mine anyway.

Just curious to understand what “moderate wheeling” means. I have a stock TRD OR with no lift. Would this be considered moderate? I’m interested in doing more than HPR.

    Thanks.

Probably armour and a lift for chestnut mt and musterground rd. There's some pretty bad ruts.

Edit: I don't remember and non lifted vehicles going with us at either of those 2 places.

    @EricL agree?

I did them stock the first times I went, but I seem to remember bumping the diff. At Musterground I may have had slightly larger tires, so something of a lift.
