There are enough people that can barley turn on a computer so having people flash the TSB themselves probably isn't the greatest idea lol

I would not want to provide anyone with someone else's updates and say here, load this. If it failed or causes and issue applying that other vendors update (Toyota in this case) then who is liable for a bad update? Who supports that other update? No, just get the TSB from the dealer if you can justify it or don't and wait patiently as we all do from time to time so Mat and bring the updates across the mess to Toyota versions.

I wouldn't sell my OVTune for twice the price I paid.
Wait, yes I would, then I would buy two and install them both for double powa!
Oh if only it worked like that....

    - Regarding misfires.
I Have made changes to valve timing and ignition timing and have verified, with included log data images on post 1, that our test truck does not receive, under any conditions, any out of the ordinary amount of misfires in a driving cycle cold or hot.

If your truck, for any reason while tuned, does see an excessive number of misfires, please let us know by zendesk the following information:
    - Model year of truck
    - if you had your crank sensor replaced (if your truck had that TSB)
    - ECU ID
    - Octane of tune
    - when it happened and under what conditions.

I cannot solve it for trucks who still have the issue by playing post tag on tacomaworld.

For those with OBD fusion, what OBD connector would you recommend? I was looking at the Carista LE

I too was seeing an increase in misfires on the original 1.05. I flashed back to stock, but just loaded the new base 1.05 last night. I went for a very quick drive (5 miles) on an already warm engine and got 3 misfires. I hope this base file is the fix. Just out of curiosity, have you already replaced your crank position sensor?

I use an OBDLink MX+ for my motorcycle and for vehicles at work (chevy so I wanted one that could read SW-Canbus). OBDLink is also the creators of OBD Fusion so....

I wouldn't use it for OVTune data logging though as Matt provides his data logger with the flash manager.

I am also working on tracing and will be adding more PIDs to the logger soon too (which can be downloaded by Flash Manager > Update)

I know the crank position sensor was a big issue with the 2016s and 2017s. I have a 2016 and never had the engine shut off or crazy lights going off but slight hesitation and stutter was present on low rpm loading. Is it a common practice to go ahead and replace the sensor with CKP part # 90919-05089 for the stuttering? It became very noticeable with 1.05 1st edition on 87 and 93 tune with 93 oct. For some reason 91 tune the truck drives smoother but I can still feel when coasting and getting back on the skinny. Still waiting on updated 1.05 to be loaded.

As soon as it dries up here in south Louisiana, I’ll get a 0-60 video for y’all. 1.05 93 performance.

Then I’m going back to base 93.

I've been trying to install the new flash manager. I keep receiving this message when attempting to run the file after installing. Thoughts?

I had this same error too - I had to go to Microsoft download center and download/install "microsoft c++ redistributable" which reinstalled that .dll file and then it worked smoothly
