That’s the hardest part to get used to is the size. The Taco felt like a toy. The seating is a little weird too. It felt like I was sitting on the floor where from the Tundra I was looking down on everything. Power output was instantaneous on the Tundra. The Taco is no slouch, it’s got plenty of power but the gearing is a little weird. As you mentioned, there is much more room in the Tundra so the cab in the Tacoma almost feels car like in comparison.

However you pretty quickly get used to all those things the more you drive it and once you realize you are no longer going to have to have a gas truck escort you wherever you go to feed that pig 5.7, you will really start to enjoy the Tacoma. That was the biggest reason for the switch for me. I found that often times when I just felt like going for a ride on the Tundra, I wouldn’t because it was in the back of my mind that I was just going to waste a ton of money on gas.

As far as usable space, there is plenty for my needs on th Taco. Most of the space on the Tundra - while nice to have - was mostly wasted most of the time really.
